Duplicate everything!

  Can you please explain why I’m seeing double? I appear to have two sites both hiddengypsy.com! Also everytime I upload photos there are two of each photo in my media file! I’m somewhat confused and my eyesight is fine by the way!

  Hello there!

  Could you explain why you believe you have two sites with the same domain name, hiddengypsy.com? I took a look at your last several posts, and they don’t appear to be duplicated. Send me some links, and I can investigate further!

  I took a look at your Media Library. I see that some images are single, while some are double. Have you manually deleted some duplicates, or did these upload just once?

  Please describe to me how you add an image to your site/a post, and I can troubleshoot the duplication issue for you!

  Hi, thanks for getting back to me, with regards the two sites, this occurs when I access my blog on my iPad not with my pc. More details regarding uploading photos to my media library … I either upload directly using the WordPress up-loader or if I write my blog using Windows Livewriter, I insert the photos and then I edit them i.e. add captions within WordPress. Sometimes they double and sometimes they don’t – I did start deleting the doubles but there were so many I gave up! Hope this helps.

  I’m still not sure what you mean by “two sites.” You have one site hosted with us: takingsnaps.wordpress.com. It has the custom domain name, hiddengypsy.com. Beyond that, I need further explanation of what you mean when you say you are seeing duplicate sites. I’ve looked at your site on an iPad and all looks normal to me.

  I see that there are several new images that are duplicates today. How did you upload these? Since you upload in a couple different manners, it would help me to understand what your process was, step-by-step, for these last images.

  Notice that these aren’t complete duplicates. One image has “thumbnail” in the name. Also, the images are not the same sizes. So, then our system isn’t duplicating the uploads, but there is something going awry during the process itself. That’s why the more explicit you can be about how these images were added to your Media Library, the better!
