Duplicate images created when using Windows LiveWriter

Hello, I am very new to blogging so forgive me if this is a simple question. I use the Ideation and Intent theme. I recently tried using MS Live Writer and posted my last two posts using it. I noticed that on the home page of my blog, it is showing the thumbnail of each image twice for the my most recent two posts (which were the ones I wrote/posted using LiveWriter.) If you pull up the actual post, each image only appears once. The images from these two posts also appear twice in my media library.
Why is this happening, and is there something I can do to stop it?

Are uploading a featured image as well as uploading the same image into the post body too? -
No, I upload images into each post, then at the end I select one of the already-uploaded images as the featured image. I’ve done this on every post I’ve ever made, and never had the duplicate images appear until the last 3 posts. Also, every image in the post is duplicated, not just the featured image.
(Side note: your hair is GORGEOUS!)

It looks like LiveWriter is creating both a regular image and a thumbnail image, and in Ideation and Intent, because of the way the theme works, it’s pulling both versions of the image.
If you delete the second image in your Media Library, everything should work fine.

Wonderful! Thank you so much for your help. Although now I’m a little embarrassed I didn’t figure it out myself, because when I looked in the media library, the 2nd image was identified as the thumbnail version. Duh.
Is there a way I can prevent this from happening so I don’t have to delete the duplicates each time? Is this more of a Live Writer issue than a Word Press one?

In our testing, it appears to be a LiveWriter issue and how it interacts with WordPress. Usually it’s not an issue, but the way the Ideation and Intent displays all post images as thumbnails on the homepage, it’s more obvious.
