duplicate images on page
-
On my norvelleboats.wordpress.com account – every time I upload an image to a page and view the preview there are two of the image. I’ve checked to be sure the image is not set to the feature image. I’ve deleted and started fresh and this issue keeps happening. Please help!

Hi!
every time I upload an image to a page and view the preview there are two of the image
I know how frustrating is is when what_you_see_is_what_you_get isn’t :D
I crawled all over your site looking for an example in the finished product but there was none. Nice boats – I spent over 20 years in the USCG, 7 of them in NorCal.
Are you looking at the “floating” preview or the full size (new browser tab) when this happens? When you publish the the page the doubling does not happen, is this correct?
best,

Hi there, this may have to do with the Content Options for your theme. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/content-options/
Ovation https://wordpress.com/theme/ovation is a premium theme, Check out the support guide to setting up this theme and if you don’t find the answer there, you can post in the special forum for assistance from the theme author. You do need to be logged in with the username account that purchased the theme in order to post there.

Thanks all! I realized it was somehow forcing the image I uploaded into the body of the content to also be a feature image. I messed around with it and turned it into a grid page and that made it go away. Probably the least technical way of handling that!

@mylovelybabybumpblog You’re welcome, but again, you can also get help from the Premium theme author in the theme’s forum if you wish. I also suggest exploring the Content Options settings as well.
@dave2swords This is a community, peer-to-peer support forum, so the people we are helping here are fellow users of WordPressdotcom. Same same, but different. :)
