duplicate linked blogs
-
I am seeing duplicate linked blogs when I am on this page: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs
I am having an issue where I cannot click on credit cards for woocommerce payments and everytime I try to add the app it creates this second site.
I do not see any way to delete the original one. I can delete the new one but, again, when I connect woocommerce payments it creates a new one.
What should I do?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi there,

So you do not think seeing the two duplicate blogs on this linked blog page on wordpress.com is an issue at all?

Hey there,
It looks like the site is connected via Jetpack to WordPress.com, however, the site is not hosted with WordPress.com, so our support is limited.
Where there’s a duplicate connection, we do have the ability to disconnect one of them – but we only see one connection in place.
Has the site been migrated recently from one host to another recently?
Additionally, have you tried disconnecting Jetpack and reconnecting as per these guidelines: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/
This may help.
I’m hoping this is useful information.

No migration recently.
But I did screw something up with permissions on my wp-content folder and then that made all my plugins disappear from my plugin folders. when I reset the permissions back all the plugins were back without me having to add new. But I did have to reactivate them and set backup the payments and jet pack and reconnect to wordpress.com.
On my end on wordpress.com looking at the linked blogs I see two different connections of the exact same url. I unconnected jetpack and I see one linked blog. but no matter how I connect woocommerce payments it seems to add a second duplicate on wordpress.
So if you think it is a good idea to delete it on your end, please let me know what I should do on mine. Thank you.

So, we have a Jetpack connection both thebloomingpalate.com and bloomingpalate.com connected to your WordPress.com account. Technically, they are two different domain names but thebloomingpalate.com appears to be the secondary domain that forwards to bloomingpalate.com. To confirm, would you like us to disconnect thebloomingpalate.com for you?
Let us know. Thanks! -
Yes, please. I think that would maybe fix my issue and I am not using the one with the “the”. Thank you!

Alright, I disconnected the original Jetpack connection for you and kept the one you connected today. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! -
While that didn’t fix my issue with woocommerce payments, that did remove the duplicate blog from my wordpress.com linked blog page. So I can rule that out at least. Thank you. Unless you have any other things you can see about my jet pack or wordpress.com connection with woocommerce payments, I think this closes my ticket with you.
