Duplicate meta tags

  I am seeing duplicate meta description tags in the head of my site pages. The first one is empty, the second one contains the expected description. How do I figure out what is causing the duplication and then fix it? I am using the Aaika theme. Its header.php file has a simple call to wp_head(). I haven’t found any other wp_head() calls, but not sure where else to look.
