Duplicate posts on MY SITES

    Why is one of my post duplicated many times on MY SITES page? I started clicking on the “Trash” icon to delete each one, but there are lots of them. I’m wonder if they’re multiplying as I delete them! How can I get rid of this problem?

    The My Sites page should not show posts at all, but only a listing of all the blogs you own or contribute to. It might help if you can post a screenshot of what you see and tell us exactly where on your blog/dashboard this issue occurs. Upload your screenshot to your media library and provide the image URL here, or paste you image into http://snag.gy/ and post that URL here so we can see it.

    Yes, My Sites page doesn’t list “posts”; instead it is a list of excerpts of my posts. In my case the listing consists of one excerpt, duplicated ad nauseum.

    Here is the screenshot, partially showing how the listing is duplicated. However, it goes on and on in this manner. Today the duplicates are of a different post than they were yesterday.

    Hi there. It seems there’s something wrong with the screenshot link you provided. Could you please do it again? I’d suggest you copy and paste the link directly from snag.gy rather than typing it here to prevent a mistake. Or otherwise it might be easier to simply upload the screenshot to your media library or to insert it in private post and then paste the link or filename here so staff can see it.

    Meanwhile I’ll tag this for staff so your thread can get into the queue. Please be patient while waiting for their response.

    I find it a little strange that you’re seeing post excerpts on your My Sites page. Are you viewing it from this URL?

    You can see part of the next duplication at the bottom of the screen. The duplications keep going and going.

    Hi Ann,

    Thanks for that screenshot! I see what you mean about the duplication, and I asked our team to look into why that’s happening. I’ll let you know as soon as I have an update from them. :)

    Our team just launched a fix for this issue. Can you please take a look and see if everything is working as expected now?

    If you’re still having trouble with those duplicate posts, you may need to refresh your browser or clear your browser’s cache. If that still doesn’t work, please let me know!

    It’s fixed! I checked My Sites and see that the page is now working!
