Duplicate search box, 'recent posts' and 'recent comments' sections, (Syntax)

  I am using the Syntax theme and am confused by why the search box, Recent posts and Recent comments sections are duplicating next to each other at the bottom of the page. Grateful for your help! Here’s my blog: http://cathedralknave.wordpress.com/

  Those are the widgets listed in Footer Sidebar 1 and Footer Sidebar 2 of that theme. It just happens to have the same widgets in each sidebar by default which is giving you the duplicates. If you go to Appearance -> Widgets you can customize what is displayed for each sidebar.
