Duplicated 'Pages'
-
I have the Pages in the sidebar widget. That’s where I want them
How to I stop them also appearing at the head of the blog, under the site-identification?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you add the Pages into a custom menu then they will appear in it.
Edit the custom menu and remove them from it.

@diodonovan,
The proper solution to apply depends upon whether the site https://voynichimagery.wordpress.com/ is displaying a custom menu, or the default pages menu, as the “Navigation Menu.”
If it is a custom menu, then follow the directions provided by @timethief above.
If it is the default pages menu, then perhaps the easiest solution would be to replace the default pages menu with a custom menu, but leave the custom menu empty of items. See the Custom Menus support page. This action will have no effect upon the pages widget that is displaying your pages in the sidebar widget area.

If you’re displaying the default pages menu, another alternative would be to create a parent page, perhaps titled “pages,” which is a parent page to all of the other pages. See the Parent Page section of the Page Attributes support page.
Creating a hierarchy of pages with one parent, as described above, would result in a single parent menu item displaying in the Navigation menu, with its children hidden in drop-down menu that is opened (except on touch screen devices) by running the cursor over the parent item. The menu with drop-down menu arrangement can also be applied to a custom menu, though it would require a bit more work.

Several years ago, for a long while I had several hundred child pages all hidden under a granddaddy page titled “.” The page title as just a dot, and that dot was the only item that appeared in the menu besides “Home,” until you ran the cursor over the dot.

I forgot to say – it was part of the default. Couldn’t be changed… so I changed themes. That fixed it. :)

Menus can always be removed and replaced on WordPress.com sites. The default pages menu may be replaced by a custom menu, as I mentioned above. However, if you’re satisfied with the theme change, then that’s great. : -)
