Duplicating Site

    Hello!

I have what may seem to be a weird question.

I have a plastic modelling website (The Sprue Lagoon – https://adamrehorn.wordpress.com/) with you guys and after 7 years It’s getting full-ish. Thinking long term (since I hope to be alive and modelling another half century), I want to make sure I don’t just run out of space.

My thought was to only use the main site’s front page to link to articles on a secondary page that would have the exact same format, just the new content.

Is there a way to import the theme, menus, sub-pages, etc, but without content, to a new site under my existing account?

Also, Is there a way to like the top banner on the “secondary” page to go back to the primary page?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, yes, you can set up a second site that looks like the first provided the theme used on your first site has not been retired. Unfortunately, it does look like that is the case here.

If you have an older site in your account that still has Origin available in its WP Admin Theme’s Dashboard, you can repurpose that site as your secondary site in order to use the same theme, but there is no way to “copy” things like menus, subpages, widgets, etc. over to the secondary site. You’d have to create those manually.

Also, Is there a way to like the top banner on the “secondary” page to go back to the primary page?

No, there isn’t. The header image/banner in each theme is hardcoded to link to the site’s front page.

Hope that helps answer your questions.
