Hello, I am in the process of switching between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. Will a duplicator plugin work to clone my current site and transfer it to wordpress.org as is?

Hi.
For self-hosted sites and plugins, ask for help at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/ -
you can move the content by exporting your site from here and importing it to your new site – the Export / Import function is built in

Thank you. I did use the export/import functions, but it only imported 30 of my posts to the new site. Any ideas how I can fix that?

Did you use the step by step guide here:

And volunteers, in general, some hosts will time out on large imports: imports take a while, and unless the host is optimized to allow such things, they might stop the importer automatically.
If that happens, re-running the import should bring more posts in. The importer is designed so that it won’t duplicate posts.
If it brings in more posts on a second run, putting the file through a splitter can help (and we can help with that.)
If running it again does not bring in more posts, we’d need to examine the export file to see if the posts are missing.

Thank you Supernovia, that worked! I had to do it three different times to get everything to populate, but now everything is there. Appreciate the help.

@supernovia
Thanks for that. -

Oh! And one more thing:
If a host times out constantly, like you can get 2 posts imported then have to re-run again to get more, try getting in touch with the host.
I worked at a small hosting company for many years, and if an importer was timing out, rather than adjust all of the server settings, we’d run users’ big imports from our end.
