Duration of activation link

  Can you please advise how long the activation link will last when sent as an email to new users?

  Hi there,

  What activation link are you referring to? The account you’re contacting us from doesn’t have any sites.

  If you have a website let me know its address so I can point you in the right direction of getting support.

  Thanks fstat. The site of our account is: https://flindersrisc.wpengine.com/wp-admin/ and we have 3 sub-blogs active in this parent account.

  The activation link I am referring to is the one generated and sent to new users by email when they are added as users in WP Engine and the option of ‘Skip Confirmation Email’ is not selected.

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com and WP Engine are two completely different companies. We’re both hosting providers for the open source WordPress software made by the community on WordPress.org, but each of us only have control over the sites hosted on our own servers.

  In this case, please contact support at WP Engine instead to ask about this. The WordPress software doesn’t by default send out an activation link for new accounts – the email sent by a standard WordPress installation is simply a notification that the account was created. So if there’s a requirement on your sites for the account to also be activated, that’s something WP Engine built in on their end.
