This is a long email. I need help on the optional plug for our annual contest. Our organization (nonprofit) exists to conduct an annual writing contest. The contest has two part; regular categories ( non cash awards)& special cash awards.
The contest consists of 52 various topics including :1 Various categories of hard copy of which there are about 25 subcategories of books
2 online or hard copy works including
Magazine articles with about 25 different categories
Quarterly journals with about 6 different categories
3. Illustrations or photos either on line or hard copy of which there are about 6 categories
4 Misc printed items ranging from brochures or calendars either hard copy or on line
5 websites or blogs of which their are about 13
6 podcasts of various topics
7 tv and radio shows of which there are about 5 topics
8We accept work only electronically — no hard copy submissions
9 each work is scored numerical by 3 independent judges. The 2 scores are added together to get a final (total) score. The winner of the highest score in each category wins the section but authors with a total score achieved of 90 or great total numerical score are awarded a nomination certificate contest
The final aspect is the demographic information. Needs to be easily (not manually) extracted from the product we buy.The entrant submitting work enters the name of the work, the authors, contact information (ie address, email, phone number )& the into the subcategories of the regular categories. They pay a fee to enter the regular category or categories . The fee is adjusted for club members vs nonmembers.
Winners of the regular categories get a medallion no Cash award.Entrants who enter their work in a regular category can also enter their work in a special cash award category. It is possible for an artist/author to win a medallion in a subcategory of a regular category & win a cash award for the same work if entered in a special awards,
We are trying to avoid redundancy particularly with having to reenter author tomographic data.
The entrants provide their demographic data when they submit their work electronically on line. ( we had great problems when the current webmaster converted a pdf or link to a Jotform as many judges (especially with goggle browsers) could not open the link, many files got corrupted with jot blot or Jotform & couldn’t be opened.
We need to easily regenerate a general categories winners & nomination list & then a 3rd special awards winners list from the demographic data.
Question is this: we want to stick with word press but we do not know what plug in with its features would be most appplicable for our contest needs.
Can someone from word press please help guide us??

Hi there,

I am not able to think of an off-the-shelf solution you would be able to employ to create a site like this. What you’ve described sounds like it would need custom development help.
With this in mind I would recommend our Built By WordPress.com option. In this program you work with our team of project managers, designers, and developers to create a customized website. Your project can include custom design and development, custom block development, migration assistance, eCommerce, etc. Services start at $5,000 but can sometimes accommodate smaller budgets so it’s worth contacting them to find out. More info on Built By WordPress.com
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
