Dyad 2 Customization

    Hello,

    I’m using the Dyad 2 theme (https://dyad2demo.wordpress.com/) and am trying to customize a few things on the home page:

    1. As one scrolls below the header, you see an array of recent blog posts. However,
    a) a translucent box appears when the mouse hovers on a particular post thumbnail – can this be removed?
    b) within each post thumbnail on the home page, the text within becomes less opaque – can this also be removed? That is, I would like all words to be displayed equally (accepting the limitation on the number of words that can be displayed)

    2. Is it possible to change the font of the title and content in the ‘featured’ post displayed in the header section of the home page? For some reason, I cannot see the Font section under ‘Customize’ to change the base/header fonts..

    Thank you!

    Hi @vkb7, it looks like http://payalandpodgy.com/ is using WordPress but you are not hosted here at WordPress.com. For self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help from the theme and/or plugin author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org forums and tag your thread there with wpcom-theme and someone will respond.

    The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.

    Your site is not live, so I couldn’t look at it, but I did look at the Dyad 2 demo site, and the following custom CSS should take care of #1 a & b for you.

    .posts .cover-link {
      border: none !important;
    }
    .too-short .entry-inner-content::before, .too-short .link-more::before {
      background: none !important;
    }

    With a self-hosted site, fonts will not automatically show up in the customizer. You will have to use CSS, or a plugin in order to add fonts. I did a search in the WordPress.org forums for adding fonts, and that should get you going in the right direction.
