Dyad 2 post problem
-
Hi everyone,
I just started a blog, and it took me a few to realize the difference between posts and pages. I had stickied a couple blog posts to the front, realized I wanted them as pages (that didn’t need to be stickied, as I could just link to them in the menu up at the top), and thought okay cool, clean it up a little bit before I share it with people, great.
However, now that I removed those posts and turned them into pages, on my main blog page, it says I haven’t posted anything yet….even though I have 3 posts (that clearly appear in the “featured” scrolling banner at the top, and all the links work if you go to recipes and click on them.
Any idea why they’re not showing up on the main page? In the settings I have it set to have the most recent posts populate the main page, not static. I tried unpublishing and republishing the posts as well.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think I figured it out, but I’ll leave this up in case someone else encounters the issue – if the post is marked with the “featured” tag to stick it in the banner up top, it won’t display in the main part of the page.
phew!

Glad you’ve sorted it! If you ever do want a post to appear both in the featured slider and also down below in your blog, you can check the box next to “Display tag content in all listings.” in your Customizer‘s Featured Content panel.

p.s. I noticed yours is a recipe site – yum! You might want to use the recipe shortcode; it lets people easily print out your recipes, and has some nice formatting included.

Thank you so much! I had no idea there was a recipe shortcode – Definitely going to clean up all my recipes now! Again, thank you :)
