I am trying to figure out how (and if) I can make a post directly on one of my menu pages, which will ALSO appear in its truncated form (Read More) on the main page slider. OR even vice versa…..just so that a post featuring TRAVEL, say, appears in the main page slider and automatically also embeds itself on the TRAVEL page……
I am stumped. Any help much appreciated, thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how (and if) I can make a post directly on one of my menu pages
If you change your header menu so that it consists of links to category pages rather than static pages, then each post with a certain category assigned to it will appear in the corresponding category page, as well as on the blog page, which is presently set as the front page on https://slothinacorktree.wordpress.com/. If the default pages menu is presently displayed, then it would need to be replaced with a custom menu in order to include links to dynamic pages (such as category pages). See the Category Pages and Custom Menus support pages.
which will ALSO appear in its truncated form (Read More) on the main page slider.
Long posts will automatically be truncated when they are included among the featured content posts that appear in the featured content slider. See the Featured Content Slider section of the Dyad 2 theme guide for instructions on setting up that feature.
OR even vice versa…..just so that a post featuring TRAVEL, say, appears in the main page slider and automatically also embeds itself on the TRAVEL page……
Only posts with the featured content tag assigned to them will appear in the featured content slider. Only posts with the “Travel” category assigned to them will appear on the “Travel” category page. So to have each of these two results occur regarding post A, you would assign both the featured content tag and the “Travel” category to post A.
