Dyad 2 Theme Home Page Customization

    Hello,

    I’m using the Dyad 2 theme (https://dyad2demo.wordpress.com/) and am trying to customize a few things on the home page:

    1. As one scrolls below the header, you see an array of recent blog posts. However,
    a) a translucent box appears when the mouse hovers on a particular post thumbnail – can this be removed?
    b) within each post thumbnail on the home page, the text within becomes less opaque – can this also be removed? That is, I would like all words to be displayed equally (accepting the limitation on the number of words that can be displayed)
    c) Can the font of this text (within the blog post thumbnail in the homepage) be changed?

    2. Is it possible to change the font of the title and content in the ‘featured’ post displayed in the header section of the home page?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @vkb7,
    b) Can the font of this text (within the blog post thumbnail in the homepage) be changed?
    Yes, Go to My Sites → Customize(Beside the Themes Menu) or Just click this link: https://wordpress.com/customize/, this will open up the customizer. From the left sidebar of the customizer, click on the Fonts option. Then, change the Base Font font by selecting a font from the dropdown menu.

    2. Is it possible to change the font of the title and content in the ‘featured’ post displayed in the header section of the home page?
    Yes, Follow the steps above and just change the font on the Headings dropdown menu instead of the Base Font for the Title. For the content inside the featured post, change the Base Font as mention in the previous question.

    The rest of the changes you asked for requires CSS customization, as they have been coded into the site itself. You will need a Premium or a Business Plan to be able to work with CSS on your site.

    Thanks otpidusprime.

    I do have a Business Plan that allows me to work with additional CSS. Is there somewhere else I should be positing for help in this case?

    So basically, I’m hoping someone can help with the particular codes that will allow me to achieve the above.

    Also, for some reason I cannot see the “Fonts” option under customization, which is why I’ve been banging my head.. Thanks again.
