Dyad Demo and Reality don't match the screenshot.

The Demo and Reality don’t match the screenshot, in the theme “Dyad”.

I’d really like the posts to show as in the screenshot, where you have 3 articles side by side. It seems in reality to only manage 1 or 2 on a standard laptop screen. This makes each block really huge and unattractive. Is there a solution? I appreciate your time.

  • Hi mulledink

The screenshot you’re seeing for Dyad was taken on a large desktop monitor – wide enough for the themes max of three columns to appear.

The third column kicks in on screens that are 1600px or wider, so wide desktop monitors mostly.

I did play around with some CSS to try activating a third column on a smaller screen, but it really didn’t work well (likely why it was originally designed this way). On a laptop with three columns there’s barely enough room for the title, let alone the beginning of the post content :)

Aha, I suspected something along those lines. Thank you for your insights. My laptop shows only one column, so I’ve switched to a different theme now… sad to not have that layout but life goes on :-) Thank you for the time to help me, I appreciate it.

  • My pleasure!

In case I wasn’t clear in my previous message – your site on Dyad does have the three posts per row – it just depends on what each individual visitor (including yourself) has for a monitor.

What you see for Dyad doesn’t dictate what your visitors would see – it all depends on each person’s device :)
