Dyad – featured image – zoom in

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

    When using the dyad theme and selecting a picture as featured image the theme seems to always zoom in a bit on the picture when displaying it on the portfolio style frontpage. Is there a way this can be deactived/changed?

    Kind Regards,
    Ina

    Hi @fleurdelelie, the theme has to size the images so that they will cover the complete space allotted to them on the main page. I can make the images show entirely, but on some that would mean that there would be a black band at the bottom of the image. You can add the following to your custom CSS, save it and then visit your site to see what I mean.

    .posts .entry-media {
    	background-size: contain !important;
    	background-repeat: no-repeat;
    	background-position-y: top !important;
    }

    To keep your images showing in their entirety, or nearly in their entirety on the main page, you would need to make sure that all the images are of the same proportions of width to height, and all portrait orientation. I’m seeing some of your images that are almost square while others are taller that they are wide, which is what you want to keep them mostly showing full on the main page.
