  I have just started working on our site but already I am getting complaints that it is too hard to read the gray text on the white pages or the light gray text on the dark gray footer. Could you tell me how I change the text color? And the background color in the footer? Thanks.

  Hi there!

  You can navigate to the Colours & Backgrounds panel in the WordPress.com Customizer and then Choose a Palette in order to experiment with some different colour palettes.

  Further custom design options are included in the WordPress.com Premium and Business plans. If you choose to upgrade, then you’ll have some more options available in the Colours & Backgrounds panel and also the ability to add custom CSS to your site.
