Dyad Theme title re-sizing
-
I currently use the Dyad Theme for my site, hightechflight.com
The featured slider that displays scrolling posts with their title, featured image and text works well on large screens. However, when I view the site on a mobile device (such as an iPhone 6), the featured title is too large, and as such, long titles have words that are cut out.
You can compare it to the desktop site. For example, the first featured post should say “Singapore Airlines Announces Premium Economy Redemptions/ Upgrades”, however, on the mobile version, the “Singapore” text is missing. This is common to others as well.I would like to make the mobile title text smaller, as I have tried it out and it works much better. However, if I make it smaller, it will dramatically reduce the size of the titles on the desktop site, meaning the titles will be smaller than the body text.
Any ideas how to reduce the size of the titles for JUST the mobile site in this theme?
Thanks very much.

Hi there,
You could use Media Queries in order to create CSS that targets specific devices. The option to add CSS is a feature of our paid plans and, so, you would need to upgrade in order to use CSS for this purpose.
I also visited your site on my phone and am not able to see the issue that you described. Here are some screenshots of how your home page looks on my end:
If you do decide to upgrade, please let me know the specific parts of your site that you’re trying to customise with CSS and I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I was referred here by another support member so didn’t realise, sorry! Interesting that it works on your end. I guess it is highly dependent upon the device and screen size.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Can you let me know what browser you’re viewing the site on on your iPhone 6? I’ve been unable to replicate the issue while viewing your site on Safari on an iPhone 6.
If I can replicate, I can report back to the theme’s author.

Interesting why it won’t replicate. I am using Safari as well.
I’ve noticed that sometimes it first loads with the default font, which fits in the featured area. However, it will then load another font (which I selected). This sometimes loads automatically, and sometimes with a refresh of the page.
This is what is shows with the newer font:
Example 1
Example 2The screenshots you sent above were in the correct, new font.
Thanks again.

Oh, I see what you mean from the screenshots. I’m going to do some further testing and report back to the theme’s author. I’ll keep you updated.
