Dyad2 Theme – setting featured image reducing cover image width
-
Hi,
I’m hoping someone can solve this mystery for me.I”m using the Dyad2 theme on my wordpress site. I’m using a static home page with a custom header image. The problem I am experiencing is that I want to set a featured image for the page so I hide the header image and then set the featured image on the page. When I do this, for some reason it then automatically reduces the width of my cover images on that same static page and whilst it’s set to “full width” it doesn’t appear like that at all. It appears only centered.
When I look at the code editor, the code appears exactly the same (i.e. full width etc for the cover image) both with and without the featured image being set.
Am I missing something here?
I only have a premium account, so I cannot install plugins or write any custom CSS.
The page I’m having problems with is http://www.elawquent.com.au.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Hi there!
I’m not sure I understood correctly, but it is expected that the height will be different for the header and for the featured image.
As per your theme’s specifications, the recommended Featured Image size is at least 1800 by 1280. While the recommended size for the header is 1800 by 720. The theme will scale and crop the images depending on the page and device size.
Also, you would be able to add custom CSS on plan Premium; however, the site elawquent.wordpress.com is currently using the free plan and has a custom domain.
Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.
