e-commerce

    Hello all,

Here is my company website http://www.fjwiseman.co.uk

I hope someone out there can spare a moment to advise me.

I’m hoping to make more of my incoming website traffic by selling goods, I’d like to facilitate this with wordpress.

I’m torn between purchasing a wordpress business package and upgrading to a premium account and using the woocommerce plugin.

Can anyone offer some advice, money is too tight to mention.

I think you’re a little confused here. The Premium package costs $99 a year and does NOT include the WooCommerce plugin. That is only available with the Business package, which costs $299 a year. http://store.wordpress.com/plans/

    However, http://www.fjwiseman.co.uk/ is a self-hosted WordPress.ORG site, not WordPress.com. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

You should be able to install the regular WooCommerce plugin to your site without having to pay anything extra, except whatever fee WooCommerce charges for using their services. For help with doing that you’ll need to consult the WooCommerce support pages along with the WordPress.org forums, as we aren’t able to help you with a self-hosted site in this forum.

Thanks for clearing that up kokkieh, I’m a rusty part time amateur.

    Feel like a fool now.

  • No need to feel foolish :)

    We’re all learning here.
