  • Hey there,

Really happy to help you with this! Creating a website on WordPress.com to sell graphic design templates and resources is a great idea! Generally speaking, these are the steps to get you started:

Step 1: Sign up for an account
    1. Go to https://wordpress.com/start/
    2. Click “Get Started” and create your account.

    Step 2: Choose your plan
For selling products and accepting payments, you’ll need at least the Business plan, as this will allow you to install WooCommerce, plus a theme that can do some of the heavy lifting functionality wise.

    Step 3: Choose a domain
During the sign-up process, you’ll have the option to choose a domain name for your website. A domain can be registered from scratch, or it can be connected as per these instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

    Step 4: Pick a theme
https://www.designi.io/ affords the ability to create an account, become vendors and take transactions. Personally, I would recommend choosing a theme that has all that functionality built in and in mind, and you’re most likely to see these kinds of themes here: https://themeforest.net/category/wordpress?term=multi%20vendor These themes are quite complex, and so the support the theme developers can provide is worth it’s weight in gold. (In my own experience.)

Step 5: Setting up your store (optional)
Depending on the theme above, you may need to go through the WooCommerce set up wizard, in order to get that configured and pages you need installed. But, be sure to follow the set up documentation of whichever theme you use.

With these steps, you’ll have a basic website up and running with the ability to sell products and add new designers to your site as contributors. As you become more familiar with WordPress and WooCommerce, you can explore additional features and plugins to enhance your online store. :)

This guide here is good with being able to drive more traffic and build awareness of your site here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic/.

I hope this is all useful stuff!
