E-commerce integration for nonprofit (.com) site

  My wordpress.com site is for a nonprofit organization, we’re trying to utilize e-commerce for donations only at present. The HTML codes etc. are not integrating…is our current merchant service not compatible? If I switched to .org, would our service be compatible or will we always have to go through Ecwid or Shopify as long as we’re with WordPress?

  You are correct, on non-Business WordPress.com sites, you cannot use shopping cart coding. If you’re interested in learning more about the business upgrade:
  https://wordpress.com/business/

  You can use PayPal Buy Now and Donate buttons, if you’d like…even without the Business upgrade.
