I notice that all three e-commerce widgets that were listed as options for WP in November of last year ecwid, gumroad and shopify are being “retired” — does this mean that e-commerce is no longer an option for business plan subscribers? If not, then what are the new alternatives?

E-commerce is currently not an option on WordPress.com. This is unlikely to be a permanent change, but I do not have a timeline for when the functionality will return.

How unfortunate – i’m mid shop set-up and have just upgraded to business as this offered the shopify plug-in a few weeks ago.
Will this be resolved soon?
