e-commerce Plan Upgrade / Cost increase ?

    HI All, When going to upgrade to an e-commerce site and complete my checkout and it seems the old/original price of approx $200 for the year is now $300 .. Is this right ? Is there a less expensive option for having a shop that people can purchase from ?

    Hi there,

    It sounds like you had the Pro Plan in your cart at one time. Please note that we changed our offerings recently and the Pro Plan is no longer available: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    The Business Plan is functionally similar to the Pro Plan (though it includes more features) so that is why it is the plan you see in your cart. It is possible to add ecommerce (via any ecommerce plugin “designed for WordPress” by upgrading to the Business Plan, but that is not an option with our lower priced plans.
