  really need an ecommerce component, feels like this is a make or break for being hosted or self hosting

  Agreed! As a nonprofit, we need our visitors to be able to donate without leaving our site. (Looks like woo commerce is a popular choice on wordpress.org sites.) Please add something we can use!
