e-Commerce Shipping

    Hi,

    I am looking to upgrade to the Business plan as I want to start an e-Commerce store using WP. But before I spend the money to upgrade I want to know if I’ll be able to have different shipping options for different items.

    i.e. I will be selling designs that will only be emailed to a customer and will not need to have a shipping cost added to them.
    But I will also be selling jewellery that will be posted to a customer, so will obviously need shipping added to it.

    Is this possible?

    Hi there. The Business upgrade gives you the option to use one of three plugins: Shopify, Gumroad or Ecwid. The plugin connects your blog to your account on one of those services and the actual orders and payment are handled through them (so, you’ll also need to create an account with one of those services before you can use their plugin. Having an account with those services may include additional costs on their side.) Thus I think you’ll get the most accurate answer if you contact those service providers directly. Make sure you specify to them that you’ll be using the WordPress.COM plugin, not self-hosted WordPress.
