WordPress ‘will not accept my e-mail address’ . checked my settings etc. and everything seems OK???

Hi there,
What exactly are you trying to do? I don’t see any attempted email changes in your account’s logs. Are you trying to follow a site via email?
If so, can you please provide the URL of the site you’re trying to follow?
If it’s a site on WordPress.com, you can also follow it using the follow button that appears bottom-right when you view the site while logged in. Then you can activate email notifications via the Reader.

Kokkieh: Thanks so very much for responding to my query. I DON”T know WHAT I am doing when it comes to this darned tablet!!! I am [WAY] 'over the hill' but I have [I thought] a pretty sharp mind it comes to this technology I can't quite cut the mustard!
I follow many url's. One of which is The Last Refuge [CTH] under WordPress.com. I have been attempting to [follow CTH[ -again- clicking on the follow button; it goes to Word Press.com site which says ' my subscription did not succeed;please try again WITH A VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS'. I entered my correct e-mail address multiple times, with the same result. The funny part is when I go to WP.com it shows a list of the sites that I follow and CTH states that I am FOLLOWING. Because I am so ignorant in attempting to resolve these glitches myself I surely MUST have done something wrong!? The Last Refuge is still sending me daily, multiple e-mails. Could it be that it is something to do with CTH site? Or, my tablet? Perhaps if I keep trying to figure this out I [may] succeed.
You can likely tell by my writing that I am really a novice at this but I will keep trying to figure all this out. I do appreciate the fact that you replied and if, when you have time, you might offer some ideas to me I would appreciate it -even if you advise me to 'give it up'! I've already pulled half my hair out, which I can't afford to lose!!!

Okay. So you follow that site using your WordPress.com account, but you want to subscribe to email notifications as well. Do I understand correctly?
Click on Reader in the top bar. Then click the Manage button next to Sites I Follow. It will take you to this page:

From your description, that site will already be listed there. Click the arrow next to the title to expand the options. You can manage the email settings for that site from there.
To explain a bit more, if you are logged into a WordPress.com account you can follow a site via the follow button bottom-right. That will make the site appear in your Reader list. You can also click the button in the follow via email widget, but if you’re logged in you should see only a button, not a form to enter your email address.
If you tried entering the email address when logged out, but used the email address you’re using for your WordPress.com account, it might cause a problem, as the site will try to log you in instead in that case.
Let me know if any of this doesn’t make sense, or if you need any more help with this.
