e-mail address appears in spam logs

    Now that I have started getting spam comments on my blog (I guess that is a sign it is getting read lol), I have noticed that askimet provides the e-mail address of the poster (including my own on my own comments)

    Does this mean that other wordpress users can see my e-mail address if I comment on their blog? If so, is there any way to stop it?

    If I can’t stop other users seeing it, can I change my e-mail address?

    I’ve searched support and the forums, but can’t see that this issue has been raised before.

    (Other than this issue, so far I am finding the spam filter to be a great boon)

    You did your own research – that is great – many visitors to the Forum refuse to look in the support documents area and in some cases their question is the top link – good luck with your site
