E-mail address change

I changed my e-mail address info and I got a message stating that I’ll get an e-mail acknowledging as much and I’ll be asked to confirm the change. Went to my e-mails and clicked on the linking confirming I changed my e-mail address. Why won’t it do so here on WordPress? I don’t need the cancel option.

There is a single email address that can be used on only one username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account. The blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account
