E-mail change says that the address is in use
-
Trying to change my e-mail address on the Account Settings page, but it says that the address I want to change it to is already in use.
Since I’m the only one with access to the address, I know that this isn’t correct.
I tried to use the address for a URL/Username change, but that didn’t appear to work – no e-mails went through and the Account Settings reverted it back to the old address.Getting really confused as to what changed and what didn’t change.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please post the email address into this thread which I will tag for Staff. know that the software will redact any email address submitted in the expected form and that redact means it will HIDE it so only Staff can see it. Then subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Issue resolved. I was unaware that an entirely new login had been created using the e-mail address:
1) Altered URL of blog and took opportunity to change username and e-mail as well
2) This generated a NEW LOGIN with the e-mail. I continued to login with the OLD LOGIN, which had renamed itself.
3) Tried to alter OLD LOGIN to the New E-mail address, but was unable to since the NEW LOGIN was using it. I was unaware that NEW LOGIN existed
4) Figured it out when I spotted there were two “administrators” in the settings with similar names. NEW LOGIN was redirected to a third e-mail account, and OLD LOGIN is now using the New E-mail address.
