E-mail contact form: Address visible?
-
Hi
I’ve searched the forum and found nothing about this, apologies if I’ve missed an obvious post:I put an e-mail form on a blog post so that readers could send me their addresses to be contacted once I launch my book. This morning I got a mail from a reader upset because their address is “visible on the blog post” and could I please remove it.
I checked and it seems that the person who fills in the form can see their own address, but others cannot. Is this correct? Is there any chance that the people who sign up could be exposing their addresses on the blog post?

Yes, that is a feature only available to logged in WordPress.com users.
If a user is logged in to WordPress.com, their information will be automatically entered into any contact form they see. Only the user will see their own info entered there.
