E-mail distribution lists for notification of Blog updates

I am a refugee from TravelPod, which I’ve been using the past 6 years, and is now being discontinued (as of mid-June). I have set up a WordPress blog in its place. One function TravelPod had that I can’t find in WordPress is the ability to create an e-mail distribution list, and send daily e-mail notifications that I’ve updated my blog, or posted a new blog. Is there a way, in WordPress, to do this? (I don’t have a Facebook or Twitter account, and other than my travel blog, am not engaged in social media).

Sounds like you would like to add “Followers”.

There is also the capability to use mailchimp for a distribution list:
