E-mail follower subscription problem

Hello! I have many people who have successfully been able to subscribe to my blog by entering their email in the widget that I have set up on the side bar. However, a few people have contacted me that they never received the confirmation email (even in the spam folder). Any idea why this might be happening? It is also not currently letting me invite people via email to follow the blog. It just says ‘Invitation failed to send’. I don’t know if these are related or not.

Your website does not look like it is hosted on WordPress.com.
We’re able to help only with websites hosted on WordPress.com.To clear up any confusion, there are 2 versions of WordPress. WordPress.com is a managed environment different from using the open source WordPress installation. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two, different entities.
You might check in with your host to see if there’s an error log you could look at for more information. Or, you could look in this forum; perhaps someone there has experienced something similar:
