E-mail followers through Jetpack disappeared
-
Hi WordPress.com,
My website (armedgroups-internationallaw.org) had several hundred followers via e-mail through the Jetpack plugin. Recently (I think July 5th) the plugin was updated and now includes Jetpack Boost and Jetpack Social. I don’t know if this is the reason, but if I go to Jetpack > Site Stats > My Followers, I only see 2 e-mail only followers. How do I get back the hundreds of followers the blog had a week ago?
Hope somebody can help me with this. Thank you!

Hi there!
Did you move your website from WordPress.com to a different hosting provider? If so, until recently, your followers were tracked under the blog ID associated with your WordPress.com site.
I’m not sure how you migrated your site to a new hosting provider, but it copied the blog ID of your WordPress.com hosted site and kept recording those followers and stats to that ID instead of creating a new ID when you moved to the new host. Then, it looks like that Jetpack update forced a disconnect and upon reconnecting, it recognized your site as a new site and assigned a new blog ID which made it appear you lost your stats and subscribers. So, your subscribers and stats aren’t lost – we just need to move them to your new blog ID.
I have reconnected your subscribers and stats to your new blog ID – please note that it may take up to a day for the update to be reflected in your Dashboard.
Also, now that your ID is properly tied to your new site’s URL, any future disconnects/reconnects won’t make any changes.
I hope that helps!
