e-mail link change

  I’m anxious about the status of my blog. I don’t see any references to the last message I sent from here for help re: hacked
  I went into accounts just now and changed my e-mail address from: (email visible only to moderators and staff) to: (email visible only to moderators and staff) because my Hotmail account was hacked a couple of weeks ago and has been discontinued…When I plugged in the (email visible only to moderators and staff) address I got the message “already in use”…what does this mean? Is it being used in relation to my own account…obviously I am not tech saavy so I hope you can help. Thank you

  You may have another WordPress.com account which is using that email, so you cannot change your current account to that email address.
