E-mail new posts in a specific category automatically

  Hey,

  I’m looking for a solution, if any exists, to a question I’m having. My blog has two main categories: one for my own stuff and one for a project I’m starting. For this project’s discussions/workflow I’d like to use both the comments below the post and a mailing list hosted at Google Groups.

  Is there a way I could have the posts in the specific category to be e-mailed to the mailing list automatically?

  There is no way for you to set this up that I know of. There is no way to import a subscriber’s list into your free hosted WordPress.com blog.

  What you can do is post the link for the project category RSS Feed in a text widget on your blog for your readers and they can subscribe using a feed reader. This is the format for the category RSS Feed link:
  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/category/categoryname/feed/

  You can set up email blog subscriptions for ALL posts as well. http://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscriptions/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/blog-subscription-widget/
