e-mail new posts to all users of a private blog

  Hi, I created a prototype of an in-company blog for company members and partners of our company. I do not want this blog to be visible over the internet, so I made it private to subscribers only. As a consequence RSS feeds are not possible with this blog. No feed means no feed burner, and since that is the only solution for mailing out posts, there is no way I can let the members of the blog know there is a new post. Preferable, I would want to be able to tell “mail out post” as a button next to “publish” or as a check box in the settings of a post. I know Drupal offers this as a standard option, and I was a bit surprised that wordpress does not. Any solution for this?

  I don’t know how your email is handled (in-house or out), but can you set up an email list and then set it to automatically forward the message to all on the list?
