  Hi,

  How can my friends receive an e-mail notification for any new posts written on my blog?

  Thanks for any advice.

  I am sure that someone will be along soon to give sage advice but in the meantime a search of the forum has turned up this thread:

  Which asks the same question. Dr Mike suggested using something like Feedburner.

  Alternatively, people can subscribe to your RSS feeds for posts and comments.

  Either that or point folks to a “Notify me when a certain webpage updates” service.

  If they use an email client that also handles RSS feeds then all they need to do is subscribe to your RSS feed in the email client, and any new posts will be read just like emails. They will also have a link to the post’s page.

  Outlook 2007 beta, Mozilla Thunderbird, Opera (I think?), Windows Live Mail Desktop and many others can do this.
