E-mail notification of new post sent to authors?

  How do you set-up authors on your blog so that they receive e-mail notification when a you post a something new?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  They have to Subscribe to the blog via email.

  Thanks, but I should have clarified that they have already subscribed to the blog and our authors. The followers would like email updates when I the administrator or other authors post. Can you tell me how to have that arranged? Thanks for your time!
