e-mail notifications of new or changed post

e-mail notifications not going through. Has always worked before and no settings have been changed since first set up, but now no one is being notified of a new or changed post. e-mail notification is enabled and all e-mail participants have a check mark by their e-mail address.

Hi there!
Can you give me an email address of someone who should have received a notification from your site but did not? As long as you write the full email address, it will be redacted from public view. Only staff (me) will be able to see it.

I tried making a change to my last two posts and also included the above e-mail address which is mine. I rec’d no notification nor did anyone else whose e-mail I send notifications to.

We don’t send notifications or publicize posts when a published post is updated. We only send email notifications and publicize posts to your social media connections the first time the “Publish” button is clicked.
It sounds like this may explain the missing email notifications, but let me know if I misunderstood.

it used to send notifications on new posts and changes. it does neither at this time. The last two posts were drafts before I published them, but I have done that many times, and when I would publish, notifications were sent out. Otherwise my blog followers would not know of a post.

I checked those subscribers and only two of them are subscribed to email notifications from your site. Both of them got an update going out to them on January 30th, which is the day after your latest post.

sorry, but they are all active and all checked on who I want notifications sent to. NOW, I went in today, and on a whim, changed to the “classic” view. Made some changes to the last two posts, and notifications were sent out to all.

Can you tell me why you think this? Each user gets to control whether they get email updates or not. You can’t set that up for them.
