E-Mail Only Follower Count Seems Wrong

  I’ve noticed that my e-mail only follower list doesn’t seem to work quite right.

  First, it doesn’t seem to always record new followers. I tested this by signing out of wordpress and “following” my own blog with a brand new (to wordpress) e-mail address. That new follow wasn’t recorded.

  Second, I’ve compared my e-mail list between two different days and noticed that “new” followers are showing up as having joined months earlier. In other words, today’s e-mail subscriber list includes someone who wordpress indicates followed me three months ago but yesterday’s list does not include that person.

  Has anyone else noticed similar issues?
