  I would like to add a widget that allows people to insert their email and receive updates from my blog. Can I do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,
  I signed up for feedburner and even posted the link on my blog. But then I realized it would send a daily email of my feed only, and I wanted to send my own weekly newsletter. Feedblitz can do this but it costs after 30 days. Is there a free alternative? Or is there a way that feedburner email lists can allow me to send my own email updates? I was looking at phplist but i think only wordpress.org users can use this?

  There’s no other workaround of which I’m aware, but you could always research other RSS repackagers. Feedburner does have some competition.

  I’m also in the same situation as Sarcasm and the city, I want to send my own weekly newsletter but need a way to collect the peoples email addresses.

  Has anyone found a way to do this??
