E-mail subscribers not appearing my subscriber list

  My e-mail subscribers are not appearing on my list of subscribers. I have friends tell me that they are subscribed but I do not see their name on the list and I even tried myself and it does not show up nor does the ‘number of subscribers’ on the main page change when a new person subscribes.
