E-mail to download

  Hi,

  We set up our coalition blog on wordpress.com and would like to have a document available for viewers to download after completing a form with e-mail and state being the only required boxes.

  I know you can not install your own pluggins in wordpress.com. Is there still a way this can be set up in WordPress.com or would we need to convert our blog to wordpress.org to get this feature added?

  You can sort of do it – upload the file but do not insert it into a Post or Page – then have a contact form for visitors to fill out – you then email them the link to the file –

  Note if you want the email for a spam email list – you need to tell people why you want the email –
