e-mailing friends about my blog,

  So I am happy how my blog is looking and now I want to send an e-mail out to all my friends to let them know where to find me. I can’t find a way to do this. Help!!

  If you share this on facebook does the whole blog show up or just a link to this site?

  Email them the link with a note about your new blog and how excited you are and so on = that is done with your regular email program, not the blog – Add the subscribe Widget to the sidebar so your friends can easily subscribe

  Can they follow the blog without subscribing?
  If the want to comment do they have to subscribe?

  Anyone can visit – they can also grab the RSS feed and subacribe through a Reader (add the RSS widget to make is easier) – if a person has a WordPress.COM account they can subscribe through the Reader here. Or they can choose to get an email with a new Post – but you need to enable it

  You can require people to register on your blog to comment if you want – not required at all – see Dashboard >> Settings >> Discussion

  I set comments to require moderation and I don’t require anyone to register to comment
