E-mails from blogs I follow have suddenly stopped coming from wordpress. No changes in my e-mail server settings. At the same time, I have been getting two to three FOLLOWS a day from people using outlook.com.

  Are there new posts on those blogs ?
  Can you also check your Spam folder to see whether the wordpress emails have been diverted from your Inbox ?

  Your outlook followers could be spam followers. The Staff are cleaning them up.

  The spam followers are being removed by Staff so you don’t have to.
  Subscribe to the above thread so that you will be notified as Staff posts updates on this issue.

  If you have email notifications of new followers enabled, you may wish, until this current wave of spam followers is over, to disable those notifications completely by changing your settings here: https://wordpress.com/me/notifications

  Click the arrow on the right and uncheck the box next to Site follows > Email.

  Alternatively, if you don’t want to disable email notices of all new followers, check whether your email program will allow you to create a filter to flag notifications of outlook followers and have those messages completely skip the inbox, going directly to archive or trash.

  Hi there,

  Your account is currently set to block subscription emails from us. That setting was changed automatically because a high number of emails we did send you were marked as spam. If you did not mark them as spam, then your email provider did.

  Please make sure you add the email address from which we send the new post emails to your address book, and if your email provider offers an option to whitelist certain email addresses, do that as well so those emails won’t be filtered as spam, otherwise this will keep on happening.
