E-mails to followers

Sometimes I publish a post that is relatively unimportant to many of my readers. I want to post it, but I don’t want my followers to receive an e-mail notification. In other words I would like to disable e-mail notification for certain posts as I publish them, while maintaining the e-mail notification other posts. Is there a way to publish a post with the specification that for that post only, followers will not receive an e-mail notification?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey Charles,

Is there a way to publish a post with the specification that for that post only, followers will not receive an e-mail notification

No – there is currently not a way to do this. Every post to your site will be sent out to your followers. The only way to do this would be to A) publish the content as a new page instead of a post or B) publish the post as a private post as explained here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#private-post

However, this would result in the majority of readers not being able to view the post when they visit your site unless you add them as a user.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
