Each post on an individual page

Is it possible to have each post on its own page linked to a static title page?

I’ve created the individual pages to post – but I’m not sure how to creat links to those pages from the title page.

You find “pages” widget available in your My Dashboard => Presentation => Sidebar Widgets. Just drag and drop the pages widget into the sidebar. It might work.

    Greets:

Just for reference, Pages and Posts actually mean something in wordpress. Here’s the FAQ on the subject.

Is it possible to have each post on its own page linked to a static title page?

Yes, does that already. On your home page of your blog, hover your mouse over the title of each post to see the individual post URL. You can click through as well.

And, I’m not total sure what you’re asking on your last question because I’m not totally sure what exactly you’re doing. Can you explain a bit more please?

To clarify – I don’t want to write through posts. I want to write stories in seperate pages.

My main idea is that the title page – has four links to it (links accompanied by images). Each link links to four seperate pages and each page has its own story.

    Does that make more sense?

Perhaps this will address your issue. You can adjust how many posts appear on your front page and limit that to one post only. => Dashboard => Options => Reading
    scroll down
    to Blog Pages
    Show at most: ____ posts
Change the number to 1 and click “Update Options”.

I also note that you have selected a theme, Hemingway that make not be suited to what you are trying to achieve. The length of the title displayed in this theme is hard-coded and cannot be changed without the purchase of an upgrade and then undertaking css customization. The space allowed for the excerpt in this theme is also hard-coded and once again can only be changed through css customization. Have you considered trying another theme.

Yup. It sounds like you’re going to want to create a custom master page for each story. When you want to write the subPages for it, along the right hand side of the Write Page page, you’ll see a tab labeled Page Parent. Assign the Page Parent to be your title Page.

Some themes will automatially make a list of the subPages within a Page Parent. Sounds like you would rather do your won since you’re going to use images.

Something to remember though is that the search function will not see your Pages. Pages are completely seperate from your posts and the system will not see them when a search is done.

    Hope this helps,
